James Watkins is the guy I'd want, ever since I saw the picture with his bike on his campaign website. I can't think of any better supporter of the small businesses you see at every race and event, which is going to give jobs to people who love cycling or support our races and events. I feel like the soul of cycling is being stolen by lobbyists and politicians who will vote for any tax and spend bill that cross their desk, and larger than life special interest groups who treat their members no better than useful idiots. Since when was bringing in huge numbers of federal dollars for road designs that treat cyclists as "traffic calming devices" something that we could call a victory? Status quo is getting old, time for a tune up.
