We’ve upgraded our event and class registration system….please create a new account.

December 22nd, 2010 by teaganw

Greetings Cascade Bicycle Club supporter,

My name is Teagan Walden; I am the administrative assistant here at Cascade Bicycle Club.  We are very excited to unveil our new event and class registration system for the 2011 season.  This new online system is the first phase of a greater website design to be completed in 2011/12.

The new system requires everyone to set up a brand new web account prior to registering for Cascade events and classes.  With the development of our new website, this account will grow into a landing pad for you to update your contact information and view all event and class registrations – past and present.  It will be an information hub with many exciting networking features.  For the time being, it simply allows you to access registration and membership services.

We encourage you to create a new account before members-only event registration opens on January 10, particularly if you plan on registering for RSVP or RAW, both expected to sell out shortly after opening to members.

When creating your new account, please be sure to enter your name and birthday exactly as you have given them to us in the past so that we can link your new account to your old record.

To create your account:

1. Go to http://shop.cascade.org.

2. Click “create new account” on the left-hand sidebar.

3. Enter your first and last name and your birthday.

4. Enter your member number if you have one (if not, leave this field blank).

5. Create a username that you will remember and enter the email address you have provided to us in the past.

Important: Only one Cascade account is allowed per email address. If others in your household share your email address, they will need to obtain separate email addresses in order to create their own Cascade accounts. All communication related to household memberships will be sent to the primary member’s email address.

6. Create and confirm a password.

If you have any problems or questions while setting up your account, please contact me at 206.226.1858 or via email teagan.walden@cascadebicycleclub.org. Though the Cascade Bicycle Club office will close from Dec. 24 through Jan. 2, I will be available to assist you by phone or email.  If you reach my voice mail, I will return your call as soon as possible.

Happy holidays to all, and best wishes for the New Year!

    Greetings,

In the event you receive an error message which states that you already have an account. Please follow the link that is blue: forgotten your password.

This will prompt you to enter your email address. You will then receive an email with a link granting you a one time access to an account. Once in to the account you may edit the username and password to whatever you like.

Thank you for your patience with the new process.

Hope everyone finds their account set up a breeze. Feel free to contact me if you do not!

    Warm regards,

    Teagan Walden

    Greetings

If you have requested your username/password and have not yet received the email, please be patient.

If you are a Comcast, AOL or Yahoo email user, please be patient. We are resolving Spam filter issues in regards to the PASSWORD/USERNAME email.

You may also call me directly to change your username/password.

I am trying to get on the site right now to buy for RSVP and can’t what is problems????

  5. michael filipovic says:

    Ditto

  6. Steve says:

I second that – whats wrong with the website, it keeps crashing. I cant register for the June 11th Flying Wheels Summer Century

  7. Chris Comeau says:

Would very much like to purchase/register for RSVP, but cannot access web site. After all of the hoop jumping, this is frustrating. Please fix ASAP so we can ride!

  8. Glen says:

did anyone test this new system!
now it will open at some random time and those that made time to register near noon will be SOL.

  9. Barb Disser says:

Very disappointed. I wanted to register for RSVP and cannot access the site. I have tried over an hour and now I know I will not be able to do RSVP this year. Whay you would start registration at noon is beyond me. 9 a.m. worked better last year. I am very upset as this is why I am a member to be able to register early which is no good at this point.

  10. Glen says:

PS – I see the time stamp on these comments is out by about 40 minutes – is that related?

  11. David Smith says:

Is it possible to register in person at Cascade HQ?

  12. Joseph Hickey-Tiernan says:

Around and around, trying to log-in and register, losing contact, regaining it: not an auspicious start for this form of registration. I seem to gain a foothold, and then need to go back to shop.cascade.org, over and over. The server is overwhelmed, I suppose, and is there a fair resolution or is registration merely by chance this year? Will emails sent (and recorded by time sent) be honored, since the monster keeps swallowing the victims?

  13. Emanuela Agosta says:

Trying as everyone else here, to register for several events. Would it be possible at least to post an update on when the site may be up again? Or maybe an email to the people who inquired so we know when to try again? Also, interested in an answer about in person registration question asked by David Smith
    thanks.

  14. Barb says:

I ditto Emanuela, I wished I lived close enough to register in person. This is very frustrating.

  15. Quin says:

After about two hours of hitting refresh a gazillion times on various pages that time out, I finally got my order confirmed.

  16. Shannon says:

Yep, still losing the battle. Have left voice message and sent email, even got to RSVP registration page….but then it timed out.
Trying to be patient, don’t want to miss joining my friends….

  17. Karolina Williams says:

My household has tried for the last 3.5 hours to get tickets. Francisco Bujanda is our housemate and we thought we could get a household account and it is not working, possibly due to our address being wrong in the system?? Anyways, he was able to secure one ticket and we need two more.

This has been a frustrating morning.

  18. Bob Harris says:

now its 5:10 Ive been trying from 12:00 to get regestered for RSVP I give up… 5 hours is too long

  19. Barry Cross says:

This was so frustrating. I wasted so many hours since noon yesterday trying to register. Why did I bother pre-registering. Why did I even renew? Get it together! Or how about making early registration available on a weekend. Or how about using a 3rd party vendor who can handle the traffic. Several times I had RSVP in my shopping cart but couldn’t check out.
Tegan, why are you in charge of this? Cascade needs to step it up and be professional.d

  20. Lee Singer says:

Obviously your new system was a total failure. How about an apology on your website? Or at least tell us you are trying to fix it. I wasted over 4 hours trying to get an RSVP ticket yesterday, to no avail.
