That said, I did read Mr. Monson's article, and then continued onward to the comments (was that reverse psychology, M.J.?) I can't help but notice the double standard - so many of the comments basically pass off blame for hitting the grates to the cyclist, but then later complain about "CAR EATING MONSTER POTHOLES A FOOT DEEP OR MORE!" You'd think SDOT has installed anti-tank ditches in the middle of arterials throughout the city.
