I'm not casting stones. I'm celebrating mediocrity. Want to hear more, or is any dissent from the "happy talk express" unacceptable to you? I'm prepared to tell it like it is.

I believe in "think global, act local". I can't see how an organization that's clueless and inertia-bound in how to engage its own members politically, can think its candidate recommendations for the general election have any impact at all.

It's a case of "do as I say, not as I do". CBC says "you should get out and vote for pro-bike candidates", but does little to engage its own members in club elections. The little it did, was done reluctantly and under duress.

By choosing to NOT engage club members in club politics (elections), the club weakens its ability to motivate members to vote for Pro-Bike candidates.

3.4% voter turnout. Bravo! That may mean 96.4% of members are satisfied with the status quo. Let's hope members are as committed to voting for pro-bicycle candidates in the general election. Congratulations on engaging membership!

Pat, we (triple) counted 469 ballots. Not sure about the bylaws change, but it passed by above the 2/3 necessary.
