Our Bicycle Ambassadors will be all around town these next couple of weeks, ready to answer your questions, help pump your tires, or just chat about bicycling in general. Look out for them at Energizer Stations, helmet sales, and community festivals.
Thursday, July 12: Energizer at Burke Gilman near Stone Way crossing, 3:30-6:30 p.m.
Saturday, July 14: Queen Anne Summer Fest, Queen Anne Community Center, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Saturday, July 14: Jefferson Park Jubilee at Jefferson Park, 12-6 p.m.
Sunday, July 15: Bicycle Sunday at Seward Park, 1-4 p.m.
Sunday, July 15: Ballard Farmer’s Market, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Thursday, July 19: Energizer Station at Olympic Sculpture Park, 3:30-6:30 p.m.
Friday, July 20: Hiawatha Kid’s Festival, Hiawatha Community Center, 12:30-2:30 p.m.
Friday, July 20: Kiddie Kilo at Marymoor Velodrome. Sign-ups begin at 6 p.m., and the kid’s racing starts at 7:30 p.m. – all participants get a goodie bag after the race!
A highlight from events this past week was meeting a family of six who had bicycled all the way from Eugene to Seattle. The Adkins family uses two Bike Friday triple bikes and tows two bike trailers to transport their family all around the Northwest — pretty incredible stuff!
