The Defense Department has a new hi-tech device: a folding bicycle.
A new folding mountain bike developed with a Defense Department grant allows soldiers to drop into combat zones from the air, ready to ride. The Montague Paratrooper, which folds in 20 seconds, is designed to offer speed and silence and stay off enemy radar.

My very first bike was an old WW2 folding bike. The hinge was rusted shut so it wouldn’t fold, and it weighed a ton. My parents must have thought it was a “girl’s” bike because the frame didn’t have a horizontal bar.
I have a Montague Paratrooper. Love it!
